L'Ottocento allo specchio: la Dinastia Savini
The stylistic evolutions of the Savini Dynasty clearly reflect the artistic modifications of the nineteenth century: first Giacomo (1768-1842) then Alfonso (1838-1908) and finally Alfredo (1868-1924) who, throughout the century, were able to create an extraordinary aesthetic narrative reaching international heights. By understanding Giacomo it is possible to learn about the neoclassical landscaping of the early nineteenth century; then Alfonso who with his mid-century neo-Pompeian and neo-eighteenth-century genre painting was known throughout the world; finally Alfredo, a specialist in the Secession, also became a point of reference in Verona already at the dawn of the twentieth century.
